The NFL’s Cleveland Browns unveiled their 2020 season uniforms this morning, which are essentially an updated version of the Brown’s throwback Jerseys of the past. The Team Owner and Executive VP JW Johnson said in a press release that “We wanted to get back to the roots of who the Browns are.”
The new look features two new jerseys, one with bold-type white lettering on a brown background, and the other visa-versa, as well as a set of white and a set of brown pants. The jerseys and the pants each feature the traditional Cleveland Browns stripes, three white and two brown, which are on the sleeves of the jerseys, and the top of the socks. On the inside of the new jerseys, players can find the year the team was founded stitched into the collar “1946”.
The new helmets will be solid brown, and no longer feature the carbon-fiber texturing that has been on the Brown’s helmets the last several years.
In addition to the comments about the jerseys in the press release today, the Browns announced that 100% of the 2020 jerseys sales from inside the stadium will go to the “Hats Off To Our Heroes Fund”.
